Circuit Description
While engine is being cranked, battery voltage is applied to PCM. Start signal is mainly used to increase fuel injection volume for starting injection control. This signal is sent from transmission range switch (A/T) or clutch pedal position switch (M/T). If signal is not detected during ignition cycle, PCM will still allow engine to start.
DTC will set when engine is running but no starter signal was seen when engine was cranking or high voltage at PCM after starting engine for at least 3 minutes.
