Circuit Description

Barometric (BARO) pressure sensor and circuitry are located inside of PCM. PCM uses barometric pressure information in order to compensate for altitude changes. Barometric pressure sensor reading is displayed on scan tool when ignition is on and engine is not running.

DTC will set when difference between barometric pressure and intake manifold absolute pressure is 67 kPa or greater, closed throttle position switch is on, engine speed greater than 2000 RPM, and all conditions are met for 5 seconds or greater.
