Circuit Description
The Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is located in transmission assembly. The VSS incorporates a hall switch that generates a digital signal and sends this signal to the instrument cluster (speedometer), PCM, and cruise control servo (if equipped). PCM converts VSS signal into vehicle speed for use in engine and transmission operation.
DTC will set when engine is operating in fuel cut mode for greater than 5 minutes and no vehicle speed signal is indicated.
