Section 18 (Wiper System And Washer System - Old Style): Adjustments

To eliminate wiper chatter, ensure glass and blade are clean and proper pressure is being exerted on blades. Check wiper arm tip pressure. Wiper arm should be at mid-sweep with blade assembly removed. Lift arm approximately 1/2" from windshield. Scale tension should be 28-34 oz. (7.8-9.5 N).
