Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the air conditioning (A/C) compressor. Refer to Compressor Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L)  or Compressor Replacement (4.3L) .

  3. Remove the A/C compressor bracket mounting bolts.
  4. Remove the A/C compressor bracket.
  5. Remove and transfer the A/C belt idler.
