Section 13 (Engine Controls - Removal & Installation - Trucks): Introduction
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 29 other vehicles, including the 1999 Pontiac Montana, 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette, 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada, 1999 GMC Yukon, and 1999 GMC Sonoma. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:
When battery and SOME PCM input devices are disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See 2000 COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES
article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
This article covers removal, overhaul and installation procedures (when given by manufacturer). If component removal and installation is primarily an unbolt and bolt-on procedure, only a torque specification may be supplied.
