Circuit Description

When A/C compressor clutch is engaged, A/C compressor control module will send an A/C idle-up signal to PCM. PCM signals Idle Speed Control (ISC) motor (1.0L) or Idle Air Control (IAC) valve (1.3L) to increase idle speed and compensate for A/C compressor load.
