Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

NOTE: BPMV/EBCM will not permit clearing of codes until all DTCs have been displayed. DTCs cannot be cleared by disconnecting BPMV/EBCM, battery terminals or turning ignition switch off.

Scan tool must be used to clear diagnostic trouble codes. With scan tool connected and ignition on, select "S" from CHASSIS menu. Select DTCs from APPLICATION menu. Select CLEAR DTC INFORMATION. Scan tool will remind that all DTC data will be erased. Return to APPLICATION menu and select CURRENT DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES to confirm clearing of codes.
