Right Power Mirror Inoperative

  1. If power mirrors system check was not performed, go to SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. If power mirrors system check was performed, go to next step.
  2. If right mirror does not move in any direction, go to step  12 . If right mirror moves in any direction, go to next step.
  3. If right mirror moves left and right, go to next step. If right mirror does not move left and right, go to step  9 .
  4. Disconnect right outside mirror connector. Using a test light connected to ground, probe mirror connector terminal No. 3 (Red/Green wire). See Figure . Activate right mirror switch to up position. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, go to step  6 .
  5. Replace right outside power mirror. See POWER MIRROR ASSEMBLY  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  6. Check Red/Green wire for an open between right outside mirror connector terminal No. 3 and power mirror switch connector terminal No. 7. See Figure . See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If circuit is okay, go to next step. If circuit is not okay, go to step  8 .
  7. Replace power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  8. Repair open in Red/Green wire between right outside mirror connector terminal No. 3 and power mirror switch connector terminal No. 7. Recheck system operation.
  9. Disconnect right outside mirror connector. Using a test light connected to ground, probe mirror connector terminal No. 1 (Red wire). See Figure . Activate right mirror switch to left position. If test light comes on, go to step  5 . If test light does not come on, go to next step.
  10. Check Red wire for an open between left outside mirror connector terminal No. 1 and power mirror switch connector terminal No. 8. See Figure . See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If circuit is okay, go to step  7 . If circuit is not okay, go to next step.
  11. Repair open in Red wire between left outside mirror connector terminal No. 1 and power mirror switch connector terminal No. 8. Recheck system operation.
  12. Disconnect left outside mirror connector. Using a test light connected to ground, probe mirror connector terminal No. 2 (Brown/Red wire). See Figure . Activate right mirror switch to down position. If test light comes on, go to step  5 . If test light does not come on, go to next step.
  13. Check Brown/Red wire for an open between right outside mirror connector terminal No. 2 and power mirror switch connector terminal No. 6. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If circuit is okay, go to step  7 . If circuit is not okay, go to next step.
  14. Repair open in Brown/Red wire between right outside mirror connector terminal No. 2 and power mirror switch connector terminal No. 6. Recheck system operation.
