Description & Operation

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, radio will go into anti-theft protection mode. Obtain radio anti-theft protection code from owner prior to servicing vehicle.

Power mirrors are controlled by power mirror switch assembly located on left side of instrument panel. See Fig 1 . The selector switch directs current to desired mirror. The horizontal/vertical switch directs current to one of 2 motors located in each mirror assembly. See Fig 2 . Mirror and motors are removed and serviced as an assembly.

Ignition switch must be in ON or ACC position for power mirror operation. Power is supplied to power mirror switch assembly from CIG fuse (15-amp) in junction block No. 2, through Multifunction Alarm Module (MAM) and junction block No. 3. Power mirror switch is permanently grounded through junction block No. 3 and connector SP256, at ground connector G204. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  .
