DTC B2558: Interior Light Control Output Short To Battery: Description

Body Control Module (BCM) uses White wire to ground interior lights. DTC B2558 will set when BCM grounds interior light circuit (but not in theater or step dim lighting modes) and power still exists on White wire for .5 second. When DTC B2558 is set, interior light relay will turn off and check gauges chime will sound. DTC B2558 can be cleared when fault state is exited when status of interior lights returns to off. DTC B2558 can also be cleared using scan tool or when fault conditions no longer exist.
