Test D: One Mirror Inoperative

  1. If left mirror is inoperative, go to next step. If right mirror is inoperative, go to step  4 .
  2. Disconnect left power mirror motor harness connector. Using test light connected to ground, probe left mirror motor harness connector terminal "B" (Light Green wire). See Figure . With left mirror selected, move power mirror switch to left. If test light does not illuminate, go to next step. If test light illuminates, go to step  5 .
  3. Check for poor connection or open in Light Green wire between power mirror switch harness connector terminal "B" and left power mirror motor harness connector terminal "B". See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, replace power mirror switch. After repair, perform system operation check. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  4. Disconnect right mirror motor harness connector. Using test light connected to ground, probe right power mirror motor harness connector terminal "B" (Red/White wire). See Figure . With right power mirror selected, move power mirror switch to left. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step  6 .
  5. Replace power mirror motor pack. After repair, perform system operation check. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  6. Check for poor connection or open in Red/White wire between power mirror switch harness connector C1 terminal "B" and right mirror harness connector terminal "B". See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, replace power mirror switch. After repair, perform system operation check. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
