Test B: Courtesy Lights Inoperative With Transmitter
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Observe instrument cluster gauges and indicators. If instrument cluster gauges and indicators are off, go to next step. If instrument cluster gauges and indicators are on, go to step 3 .
- Disconnect Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) 16-pin harness connector. RCDLR is located under right side of rear window trim. Connect test light between ground and RCDLR harness connector terminal "J" (Pink wire). See Figure . If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 4 .
- Repair short to voltage in Pink wire between fuse block and RCDLR. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . After repair, go to step 7 .
- While observing courtesy lights, connect fused jumper (10-amp) between ground and RCDLR harness connector terminal "S" (Dark Blue wire). See Figure . If courtesy lights illuminate, go to next step. If courtesy lights do not illuminate, go to step 6 .
- Check RCDLR harness connector for poor terminal contact and repair as necessary. If connector is okay, replace RCDLR. After repair, go to step 7 .
- Repair open in Dark Blue wire between RCDLR and headlight switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . After repair, go to next step.
- Ensure ignition switch is in LOCK position. Reconnect any harness connectors or components removed. Verify system operation. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
