Radio Setup: Notes

For the DE 100 series radio, complete the following procedure, with the key in the ON position use a scan tool, in order to properly set up communication:

1. At the Main Menu screen, select Diagnostics.
2. At the Vehicle Identification screen, select the following options:
   1. 2.1. Model Year
   2. 2.2. Passenger Car
3. At the System Selection Menu screen, select Body.
4. At the Vehicle Identification screen, select the following options:
   1. 4.1. W (Platform type)
   2. 4.2. (1) Chevrolet
   3. 4.3. Select the appropriate vehicle.
5. At the Body screen, select Radio.
6. Select Special Functions.
7. At the Special Functions screen, select Radio Setup.
8. Select the appropriate radio. Uplevel Radio is anything other than the Base AM/FM Radio.
9. Press the ENTER key.
10. Verify that the scan tool displays "Test in Progress".
11. Verify that the scan tool displays "Test Completed Successfully".

    Important:  The Radio Setup option does not contain a submenu. Radio Setup will configure the following systems:

    • Steering wheel controls
    • Learn VIN
    • DTCs
    • Class 2 radio messages
    • Country Code
    • Chime Volume
    • Chime Level
    • 12/24 Hour Clock
12. Press EXIT on the scan tool.
13. Cycle the ignition. Setup is complete.
