Installation Procedure

  1. Install the latch support to the upper and lower tie bars.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the hood latch support to upper tie bar bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the hood latch support to the lower tie bar nut.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the upper fascia support bracket to latch support. Refer to FASCIA SUPPORT REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER UPPER in Bumpers.
  5. Install the hood latch to hood latch support. Refer to Hood Latch Replacement .
