DTC B1440: Power Mode Master Input Circuit Mismatch: Description

Class 2 communications will not start until vehicle systems on power mode have been identified. Three wires from ignition switch contacts are monitored by BCM to determine present power mode (ignition switch position). BCM communicates system power mode to all class 2 modules on class 2 bus. DTC B1440 will set if one or more of the 3 monitored ignition switch circuits have malfunctioned. BCM will implement default action for each ignition switch position when faults are detected. DTC B1440 will clear when power moding malfunction has been corrected.
