Test F: Amber TCS Indicator On, No DTCS Set
- Perform diagnostic system check. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect 24-pin EBTCM connector C1 (Light Gray). Connect a 3-amp fused jumper between terminal B7 (Purple/White wire) of EBTCM connector C1 and ground. Turn ignition to RUN position, with engine off. If TCS warning indicator does not illuminate, go to next step. If TCS warning indicator illuminates, go to step 4) .
- Turn ignition off. Remove fused jumper. Check EBTCM connector C1 for poor terminal contact, corrosion or damage. If connector is faulty, go to step 6) . If connector is okay, go to step 10) .
- Disconnect MIL traction control module connector. Turn ignition on, with engine off. If TCS warning indicator does not illuminate, go to next step. If TCS warning indicator illuminates, go to step 8) .
- Turn ignition on, with engine off. Using DVOM, measure voltage between terminal "B" (Pink wire) of MIL traction control module connector and ground. If voltage is equal to or greater than 10 volts, go to step 9) . If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to step 7) .
- Replace faulty terminals or connector.
- Repair open or resistance problem in Pink wire between fuse block and MIL traction control module.
- Repair short to ground in White wire between instrument cluster and MIL traction control module.
- Replace MIL traction control module.
- Replace EBTCM.
