Removal & Installation - CS144

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove drive belt. Remove wiper motor cover. Remove wiper motor link arm. Move wiper arms to vertical position. Remove engine mount strut bracket bolts and rotate engine forward. Remove nut retaining positive battery cable to generator BAT terminal. Disconnect generator electrical connector. Remove front and rear mounting brackets and pivot bolt. Put floor jack under center front frame. Remove front frame bolts. Carefully lower frame 3 inches, without damaging bumper fascia. Remove generator. To install, reverse removal procedure. Install NEW front frame bolts.
