Test No. 4

  1. Turn ignition to LOCK position. Disable Power Side Door (PSD) lock-out switch located in overhead console. Unlock right sliding door. Press PSD open/close button on transmitter. If PSD opens or closes, go to next step. If PSD did not open or close, see procedures in POWER SLIDING DOORS article.
  2. Program known-good transmitter. See TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING  under PROGRAMMING - PROCEDURES. While observing PSD, depress PSD open/close button once on transmitter. If known-good transmitter open or close PSD, go to step 4). If known-good transmitter does not open or close PSD, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR) Black, 8-pin connector. Using fused (10-amp) jumper wire, momentarily connect RCDLR connector terminal "H" (Light Blue wire) to ground. If PSD opens or closes, go to step 5). If PSD does not open or close, go to step 6).
  4. Replace defective transmitter. Verify system operation.
  5. Check RCDLR for poor terminal contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace RCDLR. Verify system operation.
  6. Repair open circuit in Light Blue wire between RCDLR and rear side door actuator control module.
