Description & Operation

A permanent-magnet motor operates each power window. A master switch assembly, located in driver's door, controls all of the power window motors. Individual power window controls are located near each passenger window.

If power window/door lock switch, located in driver's door, is pressed to LOCK position, passenger windows cannot be operated from individual door switches. Press window lock switch to UNLOCK position to unlock windows.

AUTO DOWN feature permits driver's window to be fully opened without holding switch. Electronic Circuit Breaker (ECB) incorporated in window motor will stop motor at end of window travel.

With ignition switch in ON position, voltage is applied through P/W fuse (30-amp), to power window components. System ground is provided through left front power window/door lock switch at ground connection. Ground connection is located behind left side of instrument panel above junction block.
