Keyless Entry System Inoperative

NOTE: A short to ground will cause an open fuse. Check fuse for an open. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  1. Disconnect remote control door lock receiver connector. Connect a test lamp between connector terminal "P" and ground. See Figure . If test lamp lights, go to next step. If test lamp does not light, go to step 3).
  2. Connect a test lamp between remote control door lock receiver connector terminals "N" and "P". See Figure . If test lamp lights, replace remote control door lock receiver. If test lamp does not light, repair open Black wire between remote control door lock receiver and ground splice connector on right side of rear package shelf and retest .
  3. Using a test lamp, backprobe between left instrument panel electrical center connector C3 (30-pin Black connector) terminal A11 and ground. See Figure . If test lamp lights, repair open in Orange wire between remote control door lock receiver and left instrument panel electrical center and retest system. If test lamp does not light, replace left instrument panel electrical center and retest system.
