Remote Keyless Entry System Circuit: Unlock

The UNLOCK function separates into 2 operations. The separation depends on how you press the UNLOCK button on the transmitter. If you press the UNLOCK button once, the left front door unlocks. If you press the UNLOCK button twice within 5 seconds, all of the doors will UNLOCK, including the rear door. The remote control door lock receiver unlock function sequence performs when the following conditions occur:

Press Once: The remote control door lock receiver supplies the battery voltage to the left front door lock motor through CKT 694 (TAN). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . The motor grounds through the contacts of the lock switch. The lock switch is inside the door lock relay. The left front door lock motor runs in order to unlock the left front door.

Press Twice: The remote control door lock receiver activates the door unlock output at cavity B in order to unlock all of the doors. The remote control door lock receiver supplies the battery voltage to the coil of the unlock relay in the door lock relay. Battery voltage applies through CKT 194 (WHT). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . The unlock relay energizes and closes the contacts. Battery voltage is available to the following motors. The right front door and the side door.

The motors ground through the contacts of the lock switch. The lock switch is inside the door lock relay assembly. The motors run unlocking the following doors, the right front door and the side door.

The remote control door lock receiver supplies battery voltage to the door lock motors. The left front door lock motor receives voltage from cavity A. Voltage from the unlock side of the lock relay is supplied on CKT 294 (TAN) to cavity H of the receiver. The receiver is then signaled to supply voltage to the rear door motor through cavity G on CKT 246 (TAN). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . The rear door motor is then grounded through the lock side of the relay.
