Visual & Operational Inspection

Before performing tests, check RADIO fuse, IGN 1 fuse, PARK LP fuse, CTSY LAMP fuse, MALL/RADIO/DIC fuse, BCM PRGRM fuse, HORN fuse and PWR LOCK fuse. Check system grounds. Check for proper operation of automatic door locks. If door locks do not operate properly, see POWER DOOR LOCKS article. Check for proper operation of Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system. If RKE system does not operate properly, see REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM article. Check for proper operation of horn. If horn does not operate properly, see wiring diagram in STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES article. Check for proper operation of park lights. If park lights do not operate properly, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Check for proper operation of power sliding door. If power sliding door does not operate properly, see POWER SLIDING SIDE DOOR article. Always check terminal contact before replacing any component. Inspect for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect system operation.
