Setting Off Alarm

Lower windows. Remove ignition key. Close doors. Press LOCK button on remote transmitter. Reach through window and unlock door. Open door. Alarm should operate. Exterior lights and horn should alternate for 2 minutes. Security light should illuminate. If system will not arm or go into alarm mode, go to TEST NO 2  under SYMPTOM TESTING. If security indicator does not illuminate, go to TEST NO 4  under SYMPTOM TESTING. If horn is inoperative, go to TEST NO 6  under SYMPTOM TESTING. If exterior lights are inoperative, go to TEST NO 7  under SYMPTOM TESTING.



While in vehicle, close all doors. Lock doors using remote transmitter. Unlock door using lock lever inside vehicle. Open door. Alarm should operate. Exterior lights and horn should alternate for 2 minutes. Security light should illuminate. If system will not arm or go into alarm mode, go to TEST NO 2  under SYMPTOM TESTING. If security indicator does not illuminate, go to TEST NO 4  under SYMPTOM TESTING. If horn is inoperative, go to TEST NO 6  under SYMPTOM TESTING. If exterior lights are inoperative, go to TEST NO 7  under SYMPTOM TESTING. Disarm system using remote transmitter.



Close doors. Arm system using LOCK button on remote transmitter. Reach through door and turn ignition to RUN. Alarm should operate. Exterior lights and horn should alternate for 2 minutes. Security light should illuminate. If system will not arm or go into alarm mode, go to TEST NO 2  under SYMPTOM TESTING. If security indicator does not illuminate, go to TEST NO 4  under SYMPTOM TESTING. If horn is inoperative, go to TEST NO 6  under SYMPTOM TESTING. If exterior lights are inoperative, go to TEST NO 7  under SYMPTOM TESTING. Disarm system using remote transmitter.
