BCM Input/Output Test
Turn off instrument panel dimmer switch. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove BCM PRGRM fuse. Turn ignition switch to ACC position. BCM should flash seat belt indicator and sound chime 4 times. Within one second, turn ignition switch from ACC to LOCK, then back to ACC position. BCM will sound any DTCs that are stored. Turn instrument panel dimmer switch to DOME position. BCM will enter input/output test. BCM input/output tests are performed in order. To move to next test, cycle instrument panel dimmer switch from DOME position to off, then back to DOME. BCM will flash seat belt indicator and sound chime same number of times as test number. Tests are as follows:
- BCM Input/Output Test No. 1 de-energizes circuit No. 1393.
- BCM Input/Output Test No. 2 energizes circuit No. 1393. (Circuit No. 1393 is protected courtesy light output.)
- BCM Input/Output Test No. 3 grounds circuit No. 690. (Circuit No. 690 is interior courtesy lights control.)
- BCM Input/Output Test No. 4 turns on exterior lights.
- BCM Input/Output Test No. 5 sounds horn for 25 milliseconds.
- BCM Input/Output Test No. 6 turns on security indicator light.
- BCM Input/Output Test No. 7 turns off security indicator light.
