Service Precautions
WARNING:
To avoid injury from accidental air bag deployment, read and carefully follow all service precautions. Deactivate air bag system before performing any repairs. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM

- Wait at least 2 minutes after removing IGN and CIG & RADIO fuses before removing or servicing any air bag related component.
- DO NOT use air bag system components from another vehicle.
- DO NOT expose air bag inflator module to temperatures greater than 150°F (65°C).
- DO NOT attempt to disassemble any air bag component.
- DO NOT dispose of undeployed air bag inflator module. Deploy inflator module before disposing. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
- When handling inflator module, hold with deployment cover facing away from your body.
- Discard inflator module if it has been dropped 3 feet or more.
