Installing Distributor When Position Has Been Lost

  1. Remove FI fuse from fuse and relay box. Rotate crankshaft until No. 1 piston is at TDC of compression stroke. Align timing mark on crankshaft pulley to zero position on timing cover.
  2. Position rotor to number one cylinder position. Install distributor. Reinstall FI fuse. Ensure timing is correct. See IGNITION TIMING in ADJUSTMENTS - 1.0L article.
