Rear Compartment Lid Release Inoperative

  1. If rear compartment lid release does not operate normally using instrument panel mounted rear compartment lid release switch, see POWER TRUNK RELEASE article. If rear compartment lid does operate normally using instrument panel mounted rear compartment lid release switch, go to next step.
  2. Put transmission in Park. Turn ignition off. Using test light, backprobe between keyless entry receiver Light Green wire and ground. If test light illuminates, check RCDLR connector Gray wire and connector C430 for open or poor connection. If connection is okay, replace RCDLR.
  3. If test light does not illuminate, check RCDLR connector and for poor connection. Check Light Green wire and Light Green/Black wire between RCDLR and splice S223 for an open circuit. Repair as necessary. If all circuits are okay, replace RCDLR. Verify system operation.
