Trouble Shooting

  1. Check ECM-1 fuse (20-amp), ENG-1 fuse (20-amp) INST-LPS fuse (5-amp) and GAUGES fuse (20-amp) for opens. Repair problem and replace fuse. Check that all bulbs are okay. If 2 or more gauges and/or lamps are inoperative, check power and ground circuits to instrument cluster.
  2. Check fuel system, cooling system, charging system and engine mechanical system before diagnosing any gauge problem. Check diesel fuel for water before diagnosing WATER IN FUEL indicator. Check all wiring for broken insulation. Check for installation of aftermarket equipment which may affect instrument cluster operation.
