DTC B2957: PASSLOCK(R) Sensor Data Circuit Low: Testing
- Perform system check. See SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTING. Go to next step.
- Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, read PASSLOCK(R) sensor signal voltage. If voltage is less than .8 volt, go to next step. If voltage is .8 volt or more, replace PASSLOCK(R) module. See PASSLOCK(R) MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to step 5).
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect PASSLOCK(R) 3-pin sensor connector C266. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, read PASSLOCK(R) sensor signal voltage. If voltage is less than .8 volt, go to next step. If voltage is .8 volt or more, replace PASSLOCK(R) sensor. Go to step 5).
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect PASSLOCK(R) module connector. Check for continuity between PASSLOCK(R) module harness connector terminal B7 (Yellow wire) and ground. If continuity does not exist, check connector contacts. Repair as necessary and recheck. If contacts are okay, replace PASSLOCK(R) module. See PASSLOCK(R) MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to next step. If continuity exists, repair short to ground in Yellow wire between PASS-LOCK(R) module harness connector terminal B7 and PASSLOCK(R) 3-pin sensor connector C266 terminal D3. Go to next step.
- Reconnect all connectors and components. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear all DTCs. Perform reprogramming procedure. See PROGRAMMING . Perform SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTING.
