Front End Discriminating Sensor

The front end discriminating sensor is an auxiliary sensor which assists the SDM in determining when deployment should occur by providing the SDM with an input signal. Although the front end discriminating sensor is a mechanical sensor, it is not part of the deployment loop. See Figure .
