Chart No. 7, All BCM Features Inoperative

  1. Using DVOM, check voltage of battery. If voltage is 9-14 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not 9-14 volts, go to step 3).
  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect BCM 8-pin connector C1. Using DVOM, check voltage between BCM harness connector C1 terminal "G" (Orange wire) and ground. If voltage is 9-14 volts, go to step 4). If voltage is not 9-14 volts, go to step 5).
  3. Replace battery. Recheck system operation.
  4. Check voltage between BCM harness connector C1 terminal "H" (Orange wire) and ground. If voltage is 9-14 volts, go to step 6). If voltage is not 9-14 volts, go to step 7).
  5. Repair poor connection or open in Orange wire between BCM connector C1 terminal "G" and instrument panel fuse block. Recheck system operation.
  6. Check voltage between BCM harness connector C1 terminal "H" (Orange wire) and "D" (Black wire). If voltage is 9-14 volts, go tostep 8). If voltage is not 9-14 volts, go to step 9).
  7. Repair poor connection or open in Orange wire between BCM connector C1 terminal "H" and instrument panel fuse block. Recheck system operation.
  8. Replace BCM. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  . Recheck system operation.
  9. Repair poor connection or open in Black wire between BCM connector C1 and ground. Recheck system operation.
