An intermittent Code 82 may be caused by a bad cell in EEPROM that is sensitive to temperature changes. If Code 82 sets more than once, but is intermittent, replace EBCM/EBTCM. Frequency of problem can be checked by using enhanced diagnostic feature of Tech 1 scan tool.
