Powertrain Control Module (Pcm): Installation

Install PROM in new PCM. See PROGRAMMABLE READ-ONLY MEMORY  (PROM). Install PCM into vehicle. Connect electrical connectors to PCM. Install access panels. Connect negative battery cable.

NOTE: When replacing defective PCM, remove knock sensor module or PROM from defective PCM. New PCM does not come equipped with knock sensor module or PROM (if applicable). Install knock sensor module or PROM into new PCM.
