Code 11 - Abs Warning Light Circuit Malfunction: Notes

Lamp driver module turns on ABS warning light unless Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) provides ground circuit to turn it off. If EBCM ABS indicator light control circuit becomes open, light will always be on due to loss of ground at lamp driver module. If control circuit is shorted to ground, light will remain off.

Code 11 can be set any time. Opens or shorts are detected during 3 second bucheck. Shorts to battery are detected when EBCM commands ABS light off. A malfunction code is stored but, ABS is not disabled.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart. Use only 10-megohm (minimum) DVOM for all voltage and resistance tests. For identification of circuits and terminals referenced in charts and text, see WIRING DIAGRAM  .
