Diagnostic Procedure

NOTE: When using self-diagnostic tests for diagnosis, DO NOT skip any steps or incorrect diagnosis may result. Always start with TEST SC-1A .

Perform a visual inspection before attempting to diagnose engine control system problems. See VISUAL INSPECTION . Enter on-board diagnostics and retrieve fault codes. Refer to ENTERING ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICS below. If fault codes are NOT present and/or DRB (Diagnostic Readout Box) is used, proceed to TEST SC-1A .
