Both Headlight Doors Inoperative

CAUTION: DO NOT plug in headlight doors module unless battery is connected and headlight switch is in OFF position.
  1. Disconnect HDM 5-pin connector. Use a test light to check for voltage at specified wire terminals of HDM 5-pin connector (harness side). See Figure.
  2. Check for voltage between terminals "D" and "E", and terminals "D" and "B". If voltage is present in both cases, go to next step. If voltage is not present, check door motor fuses. If fuses are okay, check Red wires, from fuses to HDM, for open or grounded circuit. If Red wires are okay, check for an open Black (ground) wire from HDM.
  3. Turn headlight switch to ON position. Check for voltage between terminals "A" and "D". If voltage is present, go to next step. If no voltage is present, repair open in Yellow wire.
  4. Check for voltage between terminals "C" and "D" with headlight switch in ON, then OFF positions. If voltage is present only when headlight switch is in OFF position, perform appropriate test under ONE HEADLIGHT DOOR INOPERATIVE.
  5. If voltage is present with headlight switch in ON and OFF positions, check for short to battery voltage in Dark Green wire. If no short to battery voltage is present, replace headlight switch.
  6. If no voltage is present with headlight switch in ON or OFF position, check continuity of Dark Green wire. If continuity is not present, repair open circuit in Dark Green wire. If continuity is present, replace headlight switch.
