Ignition Coil: Removal

  1. Ensure ignition switch is in "OFF" or "LOCK" position.
  2. Remove four-terminal PCM connector at ignition coil module.
  3. Remove ignition coil wiring connectors and ignition coil harness.
  4. Remove bolt/screw and stud (5 and 6).
  5. NOTE: If a new ignition coil assembly is to be installed, a package of silicone grease will be included in the box. This grease is necessary for ignition coil assembly cooling.
  6. Remove ignition coil assembly (4). DO NOT wipe silicone grease from bottom of ignition coil assembly if it is to be reinstalled.
