Automatic Self-Test

After initial engine start-up, when vehicle speed reaches 4 MPH in forward or reverse, the Electronic Brake Traction Control Module (EBTCM) performs an automatic self-test. The automatic self-test cycles each valve solenoid, pump motor and relays to check component operation. It is normal to both feel and hear the automatic self-test procedure. A Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set by EBTCM if a problem is detected.
