Code 65 - Adjuster Assembly (2 Of 2): Notes
Power and ground are supplied to adjuster assembly which controls engine torque during ASR operation.
Code 65 will set if circuits No. 1685 or No. 1686 are both open or if they are shorted to ground, shorted to battery voltage or shorted to each other. SERVICE ASR indicator light will come on and ASR system will be disabled for the remainder of the ignition cycle.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to circled numbers on diagnostic chart.
- 9) Checks for short to battery voltage in circuits No. 1686B and No. 1686C.
- 10) Checks for short to ground in circuits No. 1685B and No. 1685C.
- 11) Checks for short to ground in circuits No. 1686B and No. 1686C.
- 12) Checks for code reset after inspecting wiring and adjuster assembly.
- 13) Checks for code reset by moving throttle valve position to enable one of the EBCM's adjuster assembly monitoring systems to check for a code reset.
- 14) Checks for EBCM-switched short to battery voltage.
