Code A095 - Open Brake Switch Contacts: Notes

This test is used to identify open brake switch circuit preventing brake switch input to EBCM from changing when brakes are applied.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart.
  1. This step confirms open circuit currently exists.
  2. This step determines if brake switch signal is being received by EBCM.
  3. This test isolates open circuit to either brake switch or brake lampcircuit.
  4. This test isolates open circuit to either brake switch input circuit or EBCM.
