Front Wiper Motor Test

  1. Remove wiper motor. See FRONT WIPER MOTOR & DRIVE ARM ASSEMBLY  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Apply battery voltage and ground to designated terminals in specified switch positions. It may be necessary to use a 1/2 watt (680 ohm) resistor. See Fig 1 .
  2. A test washer pump may be connected during test procedure. DO NOT  use pump from vehicle. When using washer pump, DO NOT  hold WASH button longer than 15 seconds in each 2 minute interval. If wiper motor fails to operate in all modes, replace wiper motor.
