Air Induction System: Turbochargers: Notes

Turbocharger is an option on the 2.0L equipped Sunbird and the 3.1L equipped Grand Prix. Turbocharger increases available horsepower from the engine by pressurizing the air/fuel charge prior to its entering the combustion chamber. This increases power output by approximately 15 percent. The turbocharger system includes the turbine assembly, compressor, wastegate, actuator, throttle body and intercooler.
