Test B: Switch Module Test

  1. Disconnect switch module connector. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminal B and suspect switch terminal. If resistance is infinite ohms, go on to next step. If resistance is less than infinite ohms, replace switch module.
  2. With suspect switch held in closed (ON) position, measure resistance between terminal B and that switch terminal. If resistance is zero ohms, check suspect wire for an open or short to ground. If OK, replace instrument cluster. If resistance is not zero ohms, replace switch module.
