3-Way Solenoid Valve (TWSV)

The TWSV receives a signal from ECM when electrical load is high, when engine coolant temperature is low and on deceleration. The TWSV then opens or closes vacuum ports to operate idle-up diaphragm and/or allow air to be drawn into exhaust manifold to reduce emissions.
