Ignition System - Electronic (Turbo): Description

Turbocharged engines use a breakerless electronic ignition system that is coupled to an ignitor and knock controller. A knock sensor is located on the intake manifold side of the cylinder block. See Figure. The distributor is equipped with vacuum and centrifugal advance mechanisms.
