Brake Switch

  1. Measure brake pedal height between level part of floor and top of brake pedal. Measured height should be 6 1/16" (154 mm). If pedal height is not to specification, adjustment is necessary.
  2. To adjust pedal height, loosen stoplight switch. Loosen lock nut on brake pedal push rod. Adjust push rod until brake pedal height is to specification.
  3. Rotate stoplight switch until pedal free play (approx. .003-.020" (.1-.5 mm) is eliminated from brake pedal. Tighten stoplight lock nut.
