  1. Disconnect VSS buffer connectors C1 & C2. Key ON, engine OFF. Set Cruise Control switch to ON. Measure for battery voltage between VSS buffer connector C1, terminal C (Pink/Black) and ground. If battery voltage is not present check circuit 39 (Pink/Black wire) for an open circuit.
  2. Measure for battery voltage between VSS buffer connector C1, terminal C (Pink/Black) and terminal B (Black/White). If battery voltage is not present check circuit 450 (Black/White wire) for an open circuit.
  3. Measure for battery voltage between VSS buffer connector C1, terminal A (Brown) and ground. If battery voltage is not present check circuit 437 (Brown wire) for an open circuit or short to ground. If Brown wire is okay, replace ECM.
  4. Measure for voltage between VSS buffer connector C2 (Red) and ground. If 5 volts are not present check circuit 381 (Red wire) for an open circuit or short to ground. If Red wire is okay, replace Cruise Control Module.
