Toe-In Adjustment: Rear

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1987 Pontiac Bonneville, 1987 Oldsmobile Delta 88, and 1987 Buick LeSabre. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Before checking rear wheel alignment, the ELC system must have struts inflated with residual pressure only. See REAR WHEELS ("E" & "K" SERIES) in appropriate WHEEL ALIGNMENT article for procedure.
NOTE: On LeSabre, turn ignition key on and move gear selector from "PARK" to "REVERSE" and back to "PARK" to activate ELC.
  2. Toe setting may be adjusted by loosening lock nuts on toe link located behind rear strut. Toe link must be adjusted to full toe-out position and then adjusted inward to correct setting. Tighten lock nuts.
