Carburetor - HOLLEY 6510-C 2-Bbl: Description

The Holley 6510-C carburetors are a staged dual venturi carburetors. The primary bore and venturi are smaller than the secondary bore and venturi. The secondary stage is operated by a vacuum controlled diaphragm.

The primary stage includes a curb idle and transfer system, diaphragm type accelerator pump system, main metering system, and an oxygen feedback solenoid that is responsive to the oxygen sensor. The secondary stage includes a main metering and fuel pullover systems. Both the primary and secondary venturi draw fuel from a common fuel bowl.

The electric automatic choke has a bi-metallic strip with a 2-stage heating element. In normal service the mixture should not require adjustment. The idle RPM can be checked without removing the tamper resistant idle mixture plug.
